The world's only clinically proven lens for people living with migraine & light sensitivity.
Not all light filtering is equal. Less of what may trigger discomfort. More of what doesn't.
- Unmatched precision — Blocks most harmful light without also blocking beneficial light

In addition to ~2x better light quality indoors, you'll get near-total protection from harmful light outdoors when the lens is fully activated.
- All-in-one convenience — A single lens solution for changing environments, ideal for on-the-go lifestyles
- Two lenses in one — Consistent Avulux clarity indoors with added outdoor protection
- Designed for real life — Adapts effortlessly to daily routines and mixed indoor/outdoor use
- Fast and responsive — Rapid darkening outside and quick fade back inside
Avulux Atlas™ Lens
Outdoor vision, the Avulux way.
Designed for outdoor enthusiasts, Avulux Atlas lenses deliver superior comfort, safety, and visual clarity — even in intense sunlight. By blocking harsh reflected light from surfaces like water, roads, snow, and glass, they significantly reduce glare and help minimize squinting and visual fatigue. ~2x better light quality than a neutral polarized lens. Two levels of protection. One lens.
- Lifestyle-driven design — A natural fit for outdoor enthusiasts

So helpful
This is my second pair- one in prescription and one not. I can’t imagine not having these anymore! I have chronic intractable migraine and deal with pain and symptoms all day every day and when I heard about these I took a chance. They are soothing on my eyes and allow me to watch some TV and manage some screen time but I still have to dim the brightness on the devices. I wear these every single day inside. Thank you Avulux!

Highly Recommended For Migraines and Light Sensitivity
I have chronic migraines due to hormonal changes (possibly) - have to take medication to prevent onset of migraine symptoms, which include auras, numbness, and aphasia. Sensitivity to light is a MAJOR trigger. Avulux glasses help 1) withstand bright sunlight and prevent wobbly walking and 2) prevent discomfort due to indoor lights, e.g., florescent lights. Medication and lifestyle change alone could not prevent the impact of photophobia, which is where Avulux glasses helped immensely. Now I can walk outside without looking unstable haha!

Amazing glasses!
I never take mine off! People always ask me where they're from as if they're just for fashion. Avulux is my new go-to eyewear. I have chronic migraine and I won't say they're the "be all end all cure," but they certainly assist my WFH life. I wear them to night events, dinners, when on screens and everything in between 10/10.

What's the difference between Avulux, Avulux Adapt, and Avulux Atlas?
All three lenses deliver ~2x better light quality through Avulux precision filtering. Avulux is the everyday lens — worn indoors and outdoors for less intense sun. Avulux Adapt is a photochromic lens that automatically darkens outdoors and lightens indoors — ideal for people on the move who want one pair that does it all. Avulux Atlas is a polarized outdoor lens that eliminates glare from water, roads, and snow.

Which lens should I start with?
If you want one lens for everything, start with Avulux Adapt — it has the same filtration as our clinically proven Avulux lens indoors and automatically darkens when you go outside. If you're mostly indoors, the base Avulux lens is the lightest and most affordable. If you need dedicated outdoor/glare protection, add Avulux Atlas.
Can I wear Axon Optics glasses indoors and outdoors?
Yes.
You can wear Axon Optics containing Avulux lenses or Avulux Adapt lenses continuously whether you're indoors or outdoors. Wearing the glasses will not dark adapt your eyes (you will not become more light sensitive).
We encourage you to wear your glasses during any triggering activities like extended screen time, when exposed to harsh artificial light, or even under sunlight.
If not worn continuously, be sure to wear your Axon Optics glasses as soon as you feel any migraine or light sensitivity symptoms.
Note: Frames containing Avulux Atlas polarized outdoor lenses should be worn outdoors only.
Note: Due to the precision filtration properties of the Avulux lens, Axon Optics glasses are not suitable for driving at night.
Can I wear Avulux Atlas indoors?
Avulux Atlas is designed for outdoor use only. At ~22% VLT, it's too dark for comfortable indoor wear, and the polarization can interfere with LCD screens and digital displays. For indoor protection, choose Avulux or Avulux Adapt.
Do I need more than one lens?
Many people find that a single Avulux or Avulux Adapt lens covers their daily needs. If you spend significant time in bright outdoor environments (water sports, snow), adding Avulux Atlas as a dedicated outdoor lens provides glare reduction that non-polarized lenses can't match.
How does Avulux Adapt work?
Avulux Adapt uses photochromic technology — molecules in the lens that react to UV light. When you step outside, the lens automatically darkens to provide enhanced protection (up to 95% of harmful light blocked). When you return indoors, it quickly fades back to standard Avulux clarity. No switching glasses needed.
Are all three lenses clinically proven?
The base Avulux filtering technology that's built into all three lenses has been clinically validated at the highest standard of testing — independent, double-blind, randomized, and placebo-controlled. Avulux Adapt adds photochromic adaptation, and Avulux Atlas adds polarization, both layered on top of the proven Avulux filtration. Only the base Avulux filter has gone through clinical validation (Avulux and Avulux Adapt in its non-activated state).
Will my Axon Optics glasses help while I’m on the computer for long hours or under harsh lighting?
Yes! Many Axon Optics wearers specifically report back that they're able to stay in front of screens and under harsh light for significantly longer than they were previously able to. In many cases, screen time and harsh light are no longer negatively impacting them. They're able to spend more time in front of the computer with their eyes remaining relaxed and comfortable.
Are Axon Optics glasses covered by my insurance, FSA, or HSA?
While we're unable to bill your insurer for your purchase, you may be able to request reimbursement for your Axon Optics purchase from your insurer.
For customers with an HSA or FSA card, you may use it during checkout. If your payment is rejected, contact your provider to have them add Axon Optics as an approved vendor.
We'd be happy to provide any documentation you may need to request reimbursement from your insurer.
